While a feature of many of The Cat’s kittens was very pink noses, there were also a group of young calico ladies who were born with coloured patches or dots on their noses. The colour depended on their individual colouring; if they had black fur as part of their coat pattern, the smudges were black, but if they were dilute calico cats, then the colour of the patch or dot was lighter, proportionate to their fur colour.
Four of these ladies were directly related to The Cat (three daughters and one grand-daughter), and two to Visitor Cat (one daughter and one grand-daughter); neither of these ladies had any pigmentation on their nose other than the usual pink.
So today, please enjoy these six feline noses.
