The photos tell today’s tale.

It’s a tale of a hungry young cat and the humans he trained; the tale of how, with a few plaintive miaows and coy glances, an abandoned cat soon had humans waiting on him (literally), piling his food up for him, offering him the best veal and carrot pâté, doing everything a loyal servant would do.

One hungry cat, one well-trained human.

There you go, Dinky – enjoy your second breakfast…

…never mind posing for the camera, just eat, I haven’t got all day…

<human paces up and down, thinking about all the things they really should be doing inside the house>

…no hurry, Dinky – by all means tuck into the second bowl now you’ve flattened the first one. I’ll just gaze out over the fields, shall I?…

…you really are hungry, aren’t you?…

…really? Still eating? Have you got hollow legs, Dinky?…

…and now you’re ready to have your bowls piled up again. Well, yes sir, of course, sir – here I come with the tin and the spoon.
