Sometimes things strike you when you’re looking through photos. Things that you might not have noticed before … like how many of these archive photos have a bucket or pail in them! Obviously each photo also has a cat (or multiple cats), but there are a lot with pails as well.
So today, just for a bit of fun, here are five photos with a different colour pail in each. There are also fifteen cats (although some appear more than once – in particular, congratulations to Sherpa who made it into four of the photos).
Pail Number One – The Dark Blue One – accompanied by Sherpa who just had to be involved in absolutely everything that happened in the garden.

Pail Number Two – The Light Blue One – with a helping of Whitefur who had decided that a pail hanging on a hook on the veranda was the obvious place for her afternoon siesta in the sun.

Pail Number Three – The Black One – accompanied by nine cats-a-munching (well, eight to be exact)

Pail Number Four – The Red One – once again being inspected by Sherpa just in case there is some hidden secret which the pail is guarding.

Pail Number Five – The Translucent One – fully loaded with wet and dry food, snacks and treats for breakfast in the front path.

The header photo and bonus pail is a second appearance for Pail Number One – The Dark Blue One – accompanied by Dawn who was helping herself to leftovers from breakfast before the dishes were washed.
