Whitefur, Greyfur and Blackfur aka The Furries were born to The Cat in the garden in the spring of Year 8 and, by October, they were approaching six months old and were all growing into healthy young cats, enjoying life in the garden and developing their own characters and personalities.
Whitefur…

…Greyfur…

…Blackfur.

The core Garden Family was made up of The Furries with the addition of Madam Kiwi’s kittens, Ariel and Stardust, who had been born in the fields around the same time as The Cat’s litter.

Our October snapshot for Year 8 shows The Cat’s three offspring and Kiwi’s two enjoying the garden; the difference in size between the litters is noticeable and illustrates the difference between a litter raised in the fields and one raised in the security of the garden where food and water was readily available.
Sadly, Ariel was always frail and remained small, passing away shortly after the earlier photos here were taken. Once Stardust recovered from his loss and became settled in the garden, he made up for lost time and soon caught up with The Cat’s three offspring in terms of size, as you can see from the header photo which shows Stardust playing with Whitefur.
