The next three months in the friendship of Pascha and Sherpa saw their relationship changing as Sherpa grew from a small kitten to a young cat.
Luckily for Sherpa, he had been adopted by Cheese, another member of The Garden Family, who agreed to take him under her wing and took over mothering duties, giving Sherpa a new lease of life.
Sherpa was growing and becoming more independent; ideally, he would have been growing up with Fosbury, Bechers and Scruffy (his littermates who had sadly passed away as small kittens), and in the absence of companions of a similar age to Sherpa, Pascha adjusted his side of their friendship accordingly, becoming less of a protective big brother and more of a playmate (albeit a much larger one).
Pascha became adept at playing kitten games with Sherpa, who was here hiding under a box.

Sherpa was now out of danger health-wise but Pascha still liked to keep a watchful eye on his young friend, albeit from a little more of a distance.

Sherpa practising his fighting skills with his adoptive big brother, just as he should have been doing with his littermates. On the whole, Pascha was surprisingly gentle with him.

Sherpa and Pascha, still eating together but with a little more distance between them now – their relationship was becoming more equal as Sherpa grew.
