The month of September generally saw the start of the transition from summer to autumn. The heat was lessening and the weather seemed more gentle, although there was always the chance of storms.

Although The Cat enjoyed the heat of the sun, the extreme summer temperatures were too much for anyone (with or without fur), and most of the September archive photos of The Cat on her own show her asleep, no doubt recovering from the summer and recharging her batteries for the autumn and winter seasons ahead.
