The photo archive from this day five years ago shows eight different cats in The Cat’s Garden. This would only have represented a fraction of number of the cats who came to eat, either at mealtimes or during the rest of the day and night, but, in a random way, it is a nice snapshot of the way they used the garden.
Eating in front of the feeding station – clockwise from top left Sherpa, Raven, BBC, Thundercat, Linnet. This would definitely not have been their first breakfasts as most of them would have jumped up onto the feeding station in their excitement to get breakfast immediately the humans appeared. This is probably second or third breakfast.

Pascha relaxing in the morning sun on top of a pile of twigs and branches. This looked so uncomfortable, but all the cats loved these piles of sticks and, out of all the garden, chose to lie here.

Sherpa on the water tank under the olive tree. Note all the paw marks on the window! He was looking forwards the olive tree trunk so there was probably someone coming up or down.

Moonstruck and Dandy Grey enjoying the fruit boxes which were placed in different spots around the garden.

Raven, washing and napping in the sun.

The header photo shows Pascha with his father, Izit, in the garden.
