T was Visitor Cat’s son, a tuxedo boy with a black smudge under his chin. Born in the fields with brother Biscuit (an orange cat) and twin sisters Cheese and Cracker (black cats), they lived a happy life adventuring and exploring until Visitor decided it was time for weaning.

Their first port of call was the drive; adjacent to the field, access was either over the wall, or under the field gate and then under the gate at the top of the drive.

And as the kittens grew bigger and stronger with their solid food, they learnt to negotiate the high wall and olive tree and find their way into the garden.

Sadly, Biscuit didn’t live long enough to visit the garden, but T and his sisters soon made themselves at home there, settling in with the Garden Family.

T, being the remaining male, saw himself as the young protector of his family group and was growing up into a fine young cat who took his responsibilities seriously. So, when Visitor brought her new kittens to the garden a few months later, it was only natural that T should become Fennel and She-ba’s protector too – they were his little sisters, after all.

But T’s siestas were still taken with his siblings Cheese and Cracker, who T seemed to think made very comfortable pillows.
