Cats have likes and dislikes just as we humans have, and The Cat was no exception, so here are ten likes and dislikes (five of each).

First, five dislikes.

– as the matriarch, she liked to feel superior and didn’t like anyone sitting higher than she. Other cats could join her if they liked, so long as they understood that they might have to move over…

– she never rolled over or showed us her belly, and we never lifted her up…

– she didn’t like the cold wind or wet weather…

– she didn’t like to be rushed, either eating or walking…

– she didn’t like the humans changing their footwear and was traumatised every year when trainers changed to flip-flops

And five of The Cat’s likes.

– her favourite flavours were rabbit and duck and she was always fed first…
(PS just look at those paws!)

– she loved the sun and the hot, summer weather…

– she liked boxes and would push other cats out (or just pile on top) if she wanted to lie in their box…

– she loved lying in dry olive leaves where she was well-camouflaged…

– her favourite colour was orange

All in all, a typical tortoiseshell matriarch ❤️🐾
