When The Cat’s son Ana Half-Tail decided it was time to move on, Mr Grey decided it was time to move in. They had long been rivals as far as being the alpha-male-in residence of The Cat’s Garden went, and this opportunity was far too tempting for Mr Grey to pass up.

All in all, he was an odd character. He had already had one change of name, starting as Mr Grey but soon becoming The Evil Grey as he sought out Ana and looked to usurp his position through brute force.

Like Pikabu, The Evil Grey had a lovely home up the road, although he had a reputation for being difficult and unpredictable; rumour had it that he had been ‘gifted’ to his new human, although the general consensus was that it had been a gift of convenience, to put it one way. And it wasn’t just humans who were wary around him – other male cats avoided confrontation wherever possible as he was ready to fight at the drop of a hat.

But all the same he was an impressive looking cat. He was handsome and solid, and there was obviously some pedigree blood somewhere in his lineage. He had famously been rehomed to another village, but walked the 3.5km back, arriving on the doorstep of his home down the road after four days, just in time to demand breakfast.

And now, with Ana conveniently out of the way, The Evil Grey had his sights set on The Cat and her garden. For her part, The Cat seemed fond of him – probably the fondest she was of any non-orange gentleman.
