The Cat was here before us. We rented the house and came and went while we made our arrangements to remove here permanently. We saw The Cat and various members of her family, busily doing their cattish things in the garden/orchard and, once we were in full-time residence, we offered to take over feeding duties to save our landlord the daily trip. And so we made the acquaintance of The Cat (aka LWB short for Long Wheel Base, in homage to possibly the longest cat in the World), the fiercely feral mother to many and queen of the garden.
